We are a group of local residents and
community

members who formed a committee in the winter of 2005
to try and hopefully succeed in getting the community spirit
back into North Solihull
which is a borough
in the West Midlands
comprising of:
Chelmsley Wood ,Kingshurst
,Castle
Bromwich

Smiths Wood and Fordbridge.
Our aim is to organise an annual event where the community can come together for a day of free fun and entertainment funded by local residents, community members, local businesses, donations and grants.
Our hope is that this event will build a bond between local residents and organisations to help build a community neighbourhood.
People from North Solihull often get a bad press this is our way of showing the diversity, talents and skills of the people who live in and around the area.
This project is an ongoing free annual event based at Meriden Park in Chelmsley Wood, with a different theme each year, the theme for our first festival was "Music"(2006) our second was "Sport/Health"(2007) our third was "The Beach"(2008) last years theme was "The Moon" (2009)
This festival is the only event that brings together all five boroughs of North Solihull and is unique in the fact that is is a non-profit totally free event run by the community for the community.
" Our 4th festival was a huge success, attracting many hundreds of people. The performers were amazing, the attractions were outstanding, Even the terrible unseasonal weather didn't stop the North Solihull Community Festival remaining our premier community event of the year"
Mark Evans (NSCF Chairman)
"So lets look forward to our 5th festival and with your help make it bigger and better."
